Most people who know me know that I really don't like Halloween. I am too timid to enjoy being scared and don't like the thought of evil being celebrated (sorry to those who love it). On the other hand, I LOVE dressing up in costumes. You see the dilema that arises every Oct. 31. Anyway- we did dress Jonathan up and go out to eat. Well- let's say that we drew on his nose, and showed him the dog suit that he was supposed to wear to the restaurant. He preferred for his daddy to wear it.
We decided to eat without it, but put it on him to "trick or treat" at our neighbor's house. He is a single man who wasn't really expecting us, so Jonathan got a slice of American cheese. (By the way- my kid loves cheese) He only wore his full costume long enough to get the cheese. We finally got him to wear it long enough for a picture when we visited another friend. He didn't even get cheese there! Poor kid. Thankfully, he had gotten plenty of candy from his preschool party. He even got some from the Chinese restaurant where we had dinner- without his costume.
By the way- if the costume looks familar, it was Mason's 2 years ago- thank you Aunt Amber!

hey, heather! i'm with you, i don't much care for halloween either. that's why we go to the fall festival at church. jonathan makes a very cute puppy! this year emma dressed up as a ballerina for school so she just wore that for the festival too. daniel slept all afternoon and we had to wake him up just to go to the festival. so, needless to say, he didn't dress up at all. they had fun anyway.
Cute dog! Halloween is quite if-y but my JT loves to dress up - mostly in a Snow White dress at school, but aannnnyyywaaayy . . .
i used to LOVE to go trick-or-treating , but didn't go out to celebrate evil, you know.... just did it to get some good eats & a sugar high. my boys are too little to trick-or-treat, but LOVE the Fall Festival at our church. i'll have to get back to you in a year or so when trip would be old enough to trick-or-treat to see if we let him do it.
theres nothing more ghetto than handing out american cheese slices for halloween. maybe next year he'll upgrade to cheddar.
Heather - I stumbled upon your blog and I'm so glad I did! Jonathan IS such a cutie!!! Looks like things are going well for you all. So happy for you!!

Cute puppies...both of them. Glad to see things are going well. We took the girls to a fall festival; they dressed as Minnie Mouse and a blak cat. Great couple, huh?
